Come and Visit Us at Chihuahua Puppies AZ, you will like what you see.
We at Chihuahua Puppies AZ are so proud to stand behind our work with the dogs & the four-legged family members. Chihuahua Puppies AZ is our dog breeding business name, and we are Carmen and Ed Taylor, and we raise Long Haired Chihuahua puppies in Arizona. At about 4000 feet up in Central Arizona, it’s still desert, but about 10 degrees cooler than down in Phoenix. Though we do get frost and a little snow once in a while in winter, our Chihuahua Puppies AZ still go outside a few times per day. Their long coats keep them warmer than their short haired cousins, and they seem to enjoy sniffing, playing, and eating mesquite beans that have fallen.
The Chihuahua Puppies AZ Life’s
We let them eat the beans because where they are originally from in Mexico, their ancestors would certainly have done the same, just as coyotes do. They enjoy it; the beans are organic, provide roughage, simple carbohydrates, and plant proteins; and their teeth get cleaned. We also do not kennel our dogs, they are free-roaming in the house with us. They all have their own chairs to sit in and dog beds to lay on. We also have play-mats with blankets and pillows, where they love to play with each other. Here you have the opportunity to watch us play and to get to know us
What We Feed, At Chihuahua Puppies AZ And Why
We put years of research in to what is best for a dog and its health. That’s why we try to stay on a natural diet, just like their wild relatives. We feed a raw diet, and we stay away from preservatives and other chemicals that you can find in the food from stores. We feed mainly raw, and home Cooked foods, including making our own treats (like dehydrated meat strips, grinding uncooked bones, and stews with organic ingredients to add to their meals).
Feeding times For the Chihuahuas
We feed the adults twice a day, everybody at once in the same place every meal, and only as much as they need to maintain an ideal form. Fat Chihuahuas are unhealthy Chihuahuas. We also do not kennel our dogs, they are free-roaming in the house with us.
Meeting The Chihuahua Puppies AZ Breeding Line
Our breeding line are all AKC registered, tested for health, and genetically selected for beauty, diversity, and divergent ancestry. Annie is our merle, has beautifully flowing long hair, a mix of brown and black almost like a tortoiseshell pattern. She loves to play, and LOVES Chihuahua puppies. She is our most elegant looking dog. Mookie is a lovable black tricolor. She has yet to meet anyone or anything she doesn’t adore. Our friendliest, and cutest dog. Giovanna, or Gigi, is a light brown, longer legged little merle girl. She is our shyest, but is getting more outgoing as she plays with Lucy, Annie, and Mookie. She has yellowish eyes, which are very distinctive and intriguing.
The Rest Of The Pack At Chihuahua Puppies AZ Home
We also have two other Chihuahua pets. Chico is a neutered, mostly black and white fuzzball, calm and quiet. Mila is our tiny black tricolor, quite long-haired, and Carmen’s traveling companion. People often overlook her as she peers out of Carmen’s purse while traveling or shopping. Kids and grownups alike are enchanted by her, though. Mila is our Chihuahua Puppies Az logo. Also part of the pack are a big guard dog named Juno, a Rat Terrier named Poquito Bandito, or “Bo”, a hyper young black and white poodle named Lucy, and two dog-loving cats, Bubbalina and Sissy (night watch / rodent patrol).
Day To Day At Chihuahua Puppies AZ
All of our Chihuahuas are together during the day where they can play together, lounge on their pillows or chairs (spoiled creatures!), and be with us. At times they are allowed to sit, lie, and climb on us as we watch TV on the couch. They take turns going on errands with Carmen in order to get socialization with other people and places. At night, they sleep in their crates in the dog room, where they stay quiet and warm until breakfast, and the start of the new day. When we have a litter of Chihuahua puppies, they are kept in a separate enclosure right next to the older dogs.
Chihuahuas Are Gonna Chihuahua
Unlike terriers, who seem to have no sense of how small they are, Chihuahuas are very much aware of the advantages and disadvantages of being tiny. They take care to avoid feet and being run over by bigger creatures. They don’t usually try to jump up on things they think may be too high, but don’t seem to mind jumping from higher places, which can get them into trouble. Additionally, they do not hesitate to squirm into the smallest places, under furniture, and under blankets (our dogs are exceptionally good at this). Our Chihuahuas watch the cats and go wherever they go. They don’t mind being picked up and carried. Here at Chihuahua Puppies AZ, there’s never a dull moment.
