Long-Haired Chihuahua Puppies Raised in My Home in Arizona

Meet Carmen of Chihuahua Puppies AZ

Hi, I’m Carmen, the heart behind Chihuahua Puppies AZ.

I’ve been working with dogs and breeding for over 30 years. Over the past 5 years, I’ve continued my education through the Elite Breeder Formula by Meg Howe, where I’ve focused on responsible, high-quality breeding practices.

My program is small and very personal. I raise long-haired Chihuahuas in my home, not in a kennel. I am involved with my dogs and puppies every single day.

My goal is simple — to raise happy, confident puppies that grow into loving companions and fit naturally into your life.

A Small, Hands-On Breeding Program

This is not a large breeding operation.

I stay closely involved from the very beginning. When my puppies are born, I sleep in the same room as the mother and stay there with them for at least the first two weeks.

I help during the birthing process, monitor each puppy closely, and make sure everyone is safe and thriving.

Every puppy receives individual attention, care, and hands-on support right from the start.

How My Puppies Are Raised (From Day One)

Around-the-Clock Care from Birth

From the moment they are born, my puppies are carefully monitored.

  • First vet check is done on day 3
  • Puppies are weighed twice daily during the first week
  • Then once daily during the second week
  • I watch closely for any changes or concerns

This early attention helps catch and prevent problems before they grow.

Early Development & Routine

  • Deworming begins at 2 weeks and continues every 2 weeks
  • Puppies grow in a calm, structured home environment
  • I guide each stage of their development closely

Potty Training Foundations

At around 3 weeks old, puppies begin learning early potty habits.

  • They are introduced to a sleeping crate
  • A small pee pad area is placed just outside their sleeping space
  • As they grow, they move into a larger area with expanded potty space

This helps them begin understanding clean habits early.

Socialization & Confidence Building

Every puppy is handled and loved daily.

  • Daily cuddling and human interaction
  • Exposure to both quiet and louder household sounds
  • Children visiting and interacting
  • Introduction to wearing a collar

This helps build confidence and comfort with everyday life.

Real-Life Exposure

As puppies grow, they experience more of the real world.

  • Outdoor introduction begins around 5 weeks
  • Exposure to other dogs and cats
  • Gentle introductions to new environments

Personality Matching for the Right Home

At around 6–7 weeks, I begin personality and temperament evaluation.

I don’t believe every puppy fits every home. I work with you to help match the right puppy to your lifestyle, personality, and expectations.

This creates a better experience for both you and your puppy.

What You’re Really Getting When You Choose One of My Puppies

When you bring home one of my puppies, you’re not just getting a dog.

You’re getting a puppy that has:

  • Been raised inside a real home, not a kennel
  • Received hands-on care from birth
  • Started early potty training foundations
  • Been socialized with people, sounds, and daily life
  • Been monitored closely for health and development

And you’re getting a breeder who stays available to you.

Hi, I’m Carmen, the heart behind Chihuahua Puppies AZ.

I’ve been working with dogs and breeding for over 30 years, and for the past 5 years I’ve continued my education through the Elite Breeder Formula by Meg Howe, a program focused on responsible, high-quality breeding practices.

I raise long-haired teacup Chihuahuas in a loving, hands-on home environment. My goal is simple—I want every puppy to grow into a happy, confident companion that fits perfectly into your life.

I’m very involved with my dogs and puppies every day. This is not a large kennel. It’s a small, personal program where each puppy gets real attention, care, and love from the very beginning.

What Makes My Program Different

I bring over 30 years of hands-on breeding experience into everything I do, along with continued education through the Elite Breeder Formula by Meg Howe, which has helped me refine and strengthen my breeding program even further.

I am very hands-on with everything I do.

My puppies are not just raised—they are prepared. I focus on their behavior, confidence, and ability to bond with their future families.

All of my puppies do very well as companion animals and can be a great fit for emotional support-type homes.

Most importantly, I am committed to every puppy for life
